Angiography (Heart Blood Vessel Test)

Angiography is a test used to see the condition of heart arteries. A special dye is injected into the blood vessels, and X-ray images are taken to check for blockages.

It helps doctors understand where and how severe the blockage is. This test is usually done when a patient has chest pain or after a heart attack.

The procedure is done through a small tube inserted in the wrist or groin. It is generally safe and takes about 20–30 minutes.

Based on the results, doctors decide further treatment like medicines, angioplasty (stent), or bypass surgery.
