Plumbing Faults

Cardiac Catheterization may be used for finding ‘plumbing’ faults, i.e. Any blockages within the coronary arteries caused by atherosclerosis. This is done by injecting the dye and taking continuous X-Ray photographs to visualize the patency or blockages within the coronary arteries. The ‘holes’ or defects in the walls of the cardiac chambers as well as leaking valves can also be thus visualized.
