Practicing interventional cardiologists by profession have over 25 years of experience. Having completed MBBS with 3 gold medals from NHL medical school, India; completed my residency at USA and started practicing as an interventional cardiologist 1987 onwards. For good reasons migrated back to India in 1993 and associated with various hospitals. Pursuing my dream currently hold chairmanship of CIMS Hospital Pvt. Ltd a 150 bedded multispecialty hospital.

As an interventional cardiologist have proficiently conducted over 8000 PTCA/PCI; over 500 peripheral interventions and 4000 stent implants including complex multi-vessel graft procedures; coronary directional atherectomies; Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Electrophysiology studies; Endomyocardial Biopsies and used Innovative Devices. Have conducted more than 50 global drug and device clinical studies as an investigator.

Contributing to research front authored numerous (more than 100)International and National research/review articles in various scientifically acclaimed journals besides serving as a guest writer. Served as an International Advisor to American College of Cardiology, besides serving as a reviewer at numerous peer reviewed journals including International Journal of Cardiology. For public awareness to heart ailments penned non vocational books like Hridayni Vat Dil Thi (2006), Hriday ki Baat Dil Se (2007),  Heart to Heart (2007), which have been reprinted and edited time to time.

As a recognition American College of Cardiology (2004) coveted “International Service Award”. At home front awarded by Indian Medical Association the “ IMA DR. K. Sharan Cardiology  Excellence Award”(2010).Received “Lifetime Achievement Award in Cardiovascular Science, Medicine and Surgery” (2011) by the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences, Canada. Considered 100 Ratno of Gujarat’ (2011).

Since last 6 years, organizing 3C Con conference, which clubs renowned cardiologist from worldover. On invitation have delivered lectures at various international/national meets.

As a Philanthropic virtue, hold Trusteeship for Parikh Cardio Vascular Foundation; Trustee for Reeta Keyur Parikh Charitable Trust; Trustee for CIMS Foundation to support education and research.
